7. Booking Cancellations and Refunds
Every paid booking card on Verber has a cancellation policy. The policy decides how much a buyer gets back when plans change, and refunds are processed automatically, so neither you nor your client has to chase money.
7.1 Cancellation presets
Pick one preset per service card when you create or edit it in Edit Profile > Customize the Services you offer. The default is Flexible.
| Preset | Buyer cancels before the window | Buyer cancels inside the window |
|---|---|---|
| Flexible (default) | Full refund until 24 hours before the session | No refund within 24 hours |
| Moderate | Full refund until 24 hours before the session | 50% refund within 24 hours |
| Strict | Full refund until 48 hours before the session | No refund within 48 hours |
The policy is shown to buyers on the booking card and at checkout, and it is saved with each booking, so later edits to the card do not change bookings already made.
7.2 When a buyer cancels
- The buyer opens their booking confirmation and clicks Cancel booking.
- Verber calculates the refund from the card's policy and the time left before the session.
- The refund is sent automatically to the buyer's original payment method. Card refunds usually appear within 5–7 business days; UPI refunds are usually faster.
- The refunded amount is deducted from your pending balance, and the matching share of the platform fee is refunded to you. The buyer service fee is not refunded when the buyer cancels.
If you were already paid for that booking, your balance can go negative and is recovered from your next payouts.
7.3 When you cancel or do not show up
- If you cancel, or you do not attend a confirmed session, the buyer gets a full refund, including the service fee.
- Repeated creator cancellations or no-shows are flagged and can pause your paid bookings or promotions.
To cancel, open the booking from your dashboard and choose Cancel and refund. Offer the buyer a new slot first if you can.
7.4 Rescheduling
Rescheduling is not a cancellation. Agree on a new time with the buyer and move the booking from your dashboard; no refund is issued.
7.5 Disputes
If a buyer disputes a payment with their bank instead of cancelling, the related earnings are held while the dispute is open. See the Seller terms for how disputes and chargebacks work, and the Refund policy for the buyer-facing rules.
